FAQs

Q: Are you Licensed?
A: I am fully licensed (MA61257412) and insured to practice Massage Therapy in Washington & New York State.

Q: Do I need to provide anything for the massage session? Generally, you won't need to provide anything for the massage session.
A: The therapist will bring a portable massage table or chair, fresh linens, oils or lotions, and any other necessary equipment. Just ensure there is enough space in your chosen location for the therapist to set up comfortably.

Q: I've never had a massage before. What do I wear?

A: You should undress to your desired level of comfort. About half of my clients prefer to be completely undressed, while the other half prefers to keep their undergarments on. This is completely up to you. You will be properly covered or draped at all times to keep you warm and comfortable. Only the area being worked on will be exposed. No areas will be exposed without your consent. You should always let your therapist know if you are uncomfortable for any reason during your massage session.

Q: What do I need to prepare?

A: Clear a space approximately 8 feet by 5 feet to allow room for the massage table and me to maneuver around it. Any clutter or signs that people actually live in your home do not affect my work at all. However, you may want to clear your line of sight (the floor near the head of the massage table) to create a relaxing environment.

Q: Do you only do massages in homes?

A: No! I can provide massages in any environment that allows me. That may be your home, your backyard, your hotel or rental, even your workplace as long as you've gotten permission for it. The space must also be at least 8 feet by 5 feet.  Please note:  It is the responsibility of the client to arrange for parking. If parking is not available, the client will incur any out-of-pocket fee for parking at a nearby lot.

Q: Do you provide couples massages?

A: I am a sole proprietor LLC so it is only me. However I do have a network of therapists I often work with. Please inquire if you want more info on couples massage.

Q: I have health conditions that may affect the massage. Does that matter?

A: Massage is healing and can be a part of a successful, holistic therapeutic plan for multiple illnesses and conditions. Please feel free to include any relevant medical conditions or any specific concerns you have when booking. You can also call or text me at any point up to 30 minutes prior to our appointment (I'll be driving to you!). If you give me one day's notice, it will allow me to check the most up to date literature on your condition and how massage can affect it.

Q: Do you massage pregnant women?

A: Yes! Massage can help with decreasing stress and relieving pain. I do not have enough arms to carry both my table and pregnancy bolsters, so I request that you provide two pillows. The safest position for massage in your 2nd and 3rd trimester is on your side. One pillow will be for under your head. The second pillow is placed between your knees to keep your hip alignment neutral. Some pregnant people may find additional pillows  helpful for finding a comfortable side-laying position.

Q: I am in my first trimester of pregnancy. Can I still get a massage?

A: There is a lot of debate concerning safety of massages in the first trimester. First trimester pregnancy loss is common; up to 25% of early pregnancies are lost. The overwhelming majority of those cannot be prevented and is not the fault of the pregnant person. However, grief is difficult, and I would never want anyone to think that getting a massage caused their pregnancy loss. For that reason, I do not provide massages in the first trimester.

Q: Do you take insurance?

A: Unfortunately, I do not take insurance for mobile massages. However, I can provide a receipt if needed for your FSA or HSA. You may need a prescription/letter from your doctor to have the massage be FSA/HSA eligible.

Q: Do I tip?

A: Tipping is always appreciated...but the best way to show your appreciation is with positive reviews, referrals and repeat business!

Q: How much for add-ons?

A: My price includes all add-ons that I provide. I do not like nickel and diming my clients. Any creams or oils applied during the massage are also being absorbed by my hands, so I do not charge extra. These add-ons are aromatherapy, CBD oil, deep blue ointment (topical pain cream), gua sha, hot stone, cupping, and massage gun.

Q: What safety measures are in place, especially in light of COVID-19?
A: I have strict sanitation and safety protocols in place to protect both clients and therapists. These may include frequent handwashing, disinfection of equipment and surfaces, wearing masks, and pre-screening for symptoms.

Q: What forms of payment are accepted?

A: Zelle, Venmo, Apple Cash and any major credit card.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: We understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary, therefore, we respectfully request at least 24-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
